Match Notes
Norths lost John Snedden after Thursday training when he pulled a hamstring George Ambrum moved from wing to centre and Dave Wood came in on the wing. Eric Pitt dropped out of the 14 man team.
Ken Maddison dropped out of the St.George team which was reshuffled with Graeme Langland moving to centre, Johnny King to fullback & Stan Gorton coming in on the wing.
Dave Wood sustained a bad cut to his mouth after 6 mins and had to leave the field he was replaced by Frank Collins who then suffered badly from cramps after 20 mins and was replaced by reserve grade lock Warren Evans.
Billy Smith suffered a calf injury and was replaced at halftime by Ross Strudwick.
