Match Notes
This match was scheduled to be played at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday 14th but due to rain the new grass surface was not in a playable condition and the match was moved to Lidcombe Oval on Monday 15th.
Balmain lost there entire front row Gary Leo(ankle) & Noel Maybury(knee) both withdrew on Thursday and were replaced by Alan Burke & Peter Boulton then on Saturday Dennis Manteit withdrew with a knee injury and was replaced by Bruce Doust, Paul Cross was slso alate withdrawal and was replaced by Merv Muggleton.
John Peard replaced Kevin Stevens in the Easts team due to a knee injury.
