This match was transferred to Belmore Oval from Leichhardt Oval after last minute efforts to have the lighting system at Leichhardt failed. This along with pouring rain contributed to the low crowd figure, which was reported by the SMH.
Wests lost 3 players on Tuesday night wingers Robbie Parker & Russell Mullins and forward John Elford they were replaced by Steve Satterley, John Dorahy & Mick Liubinskas.
Wests led 6-2 at 1/4 time.
