Bill Moore was a late withdrawal from the Souths team and was replaced by Steve Magnus.
Souths lost Steve Rogers, Greg Peirce & Ken Maddison through injuries on Tuesday and they were replaced by Steve Edmonds, Dick Simpson & Greg Purcell at hooker with Ron Turner moving to 2nd row.
Bob McCarthy injured his shoulder and was replaced by Bob Bolin at halftime.
