Harry trained extremely harder than anyone. Always played hard and gave as good as he could take. Champion bloke until the end.

Harry was a real genuine fellow to know. One of the hardest trainers I can recall for his weight and size. He battled strongly in his last couple of years like the person he was, a legend. Daves Cave.

Harry I believe was graded with ST.George prior to playing first grade with Easts in 1969. Harry must of played lower grades only with ST.George in the sixties and that is why there are no records.

I was his 2nd row partner in East's 3rd grade 1968. To his bag luck he lasted 1 minute in the grand final against Balmain and I replaced him. We lost. Gym fit like you wouldn't believe.
