Canterbury lost Barry Phillis he was replaced by Phil Charlton with Bill Noonan moving to hooker.
Lindsay Drake was dropped late to reserve grade for missing training and was replaced by Brian Norton.
Billy Smith left the field with a knee injury midway through the 1st and was replaced by Brian Smith at halftime Robert Finch replaced Gary Pethybridge & Russell Cox replaced Rod Reddy then 6 mins into the 2nd half Gary Souter replaced Barry Beath.
