Biography
Blayney junior represented Country as an 18-year-old winger with Bathurst's St Patrick's Club in 1972 before gaining selection for NSW in two matches. Chapman signed with St George the following year and was a member of the team that was thrashed 38-0 by Easts in the 1975 grand final. He later played in the historic 9-all draw against P’matta in 1977, missing a late penalty goal that would have won the match in extra-time, before winning the replay the following week. Chapman later went to Queensland to play for Redcliffe after spending two seasons with P’matta.
