Biography

C’bury lock/second row forward won a reserve grade premiership with the club in 1972 before breaking Eddie Burns' club try-scoring record for a forward with 11 tries in the 1974 season. A member of the young C’bury side that lost to Easts in the 1974 grand final Peek played for Widnes in 1974-75. (Although he did not play in the English club's victory in the Wembley Cup final Widnes sent him a player's medallion). Peek later moved to Souths in 1978 under coach Jack Gibson. His son Adam Peek played with Adelaide for two seasons before joining his father’s former clubs, the Bulldogs and Souths.

    A very good player who looked like he would play for Australia but went to England to play and was not the same on returning. A shame.
