==== Season Suspended After Round 1 ==== On the 18th of March, 2020, the NSWRL released a statement announcing the immediate suspension of the NSW Cup (and all senior competitions) until the 31st of May in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This announcement also added that due to the complexity of travel restrictions, the Warriors would not participate for the rest of the season (on the proviso that the season did later resume for other teams).
==== Season Cancelled ==== Nine days after the previous announcement, the NSWRL made the tough decision to cancel all major senior competitions including the NSW Cup. This was done in response to revised medical advice from government health officials and other experts, along with the various travel bans within Australia and New Zealand.
This decision coincided with the extraordinary levels of lockdown and isolation being undertaken for safety reasons as cases of the virus spread.
