Season Postponement

On the 29th of June, 2021 - prior to Round 16 - the NSWRL announced the postponement of fixtures owing to a NSW public health order in place to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Extended Delay

As the delays continued through to August, the NSWRL announced the following rule changes to account for all full rounds missed due to COVID-19 postponement:

For all scheduled games, teams will receive 1 point each for a draw and no for/against points.
Teams that had a BYE in these rounds will receive 2 points.

This continued until the 10th of August, at which point the NSWRL conceded that the NSW Cup (and all other regional competitions) would have to be abandoned for season 2021.
