Geoff Connell dropped out of the Balmain team with the flu he was replaced by Allan Fitzgibbon.
Penrith replace Bob Landers with a back injury & Ron Clothier suffering effects of the flu at halftime they were replaced by John Moran & Russ Johnstone.
