Bruce Ward withdrew from the Penrith team on Friday with an injured ankle and was replaced by Alan Wingate who played hooker and Ron Workman moved to prop. John Moran dropped out with the flu and Mal McMartin moved to centre and Bob Landers came in on the wing.
Alan Kennington dislocated a collarbone just before halftime and was replaced by Mick Souter.
Phil Kliendienst suffered concussion in the 1st half and was replaced by reserve grade winger Ian Hancock.
