Match Notes
Peter Wright was dropped from the Penrith side for not attending training he was replaced by Terry Geary. Bob Broad was a late replacement for Gary Harvey so he moved to prop and Geary to the 2nd row.
Dave Bolton dropped out of the Balmain team with an ankle injury and was replaced by Keith Outten at half and captain.
Russ Johnstone replaced Rod Elliott in the 1st half.
John Spencer left the field midway through the 2nd half with injured ribs and was replaced by Allan Fitzgibbon.
