Match Notes
Ron Coote dropped out of the Easts team on Thursday after failing a fitness test on his groin strain he was replaced by Laurie Freier in the 2nd row with Barry Reilly moving to lock and John Brass the new captain.
Eddie Heatley was a late withdrawal for Easts and was replaced by Mick Healey.
Laurie Freier left the field in the 2nd half with a head cut and was replaced by Kevin Stevens.
John Armstrong was sent off for kicking in the 32 min & Arthur Beetson for a high tackle in the 60th min.
