Match Notes
Bob Wear was a late withdrawal for Cronulla he was replaced by John Taper.
Balmain captain Dave Bolton & Keith Outten withdrew late in the week with injuries Terry Parker moved from centre to half with Hal Browne coming into the centre and Peter Fardell coming in for Outten. Arthur Beetson couldn't backup from the 3rd test on Saturday due to a leg injury and was replaced by Geoff Connell.
Balmain lost Len Killeen just before halftime with a torn hamstring he was replaced by Paul Cross then just after halftime Peter Boulton left the field with a broken nose and hand injury he was replaced by Phil Carey. Barry McTaggart later left the field with a badly cut eye but could not be replaced.
