This fixture was initially posptoned due to North Wales' financial issues leaving them unable to raise a team. Three days later the RFL cancelled North Wales' membership and the following day after that, approved a new entity to take them over. Doncaster were subsequently awarded the fixture 48-0, and the Crusaders docked 12 competiiton points due to an 'Insolvency Event'. The return fixture later in 2026 will be reversed and hosted by Doncaster as part of the sanctions.
