Bill Noonan had to withdraw due to a small broken bone in his elbow and was replaced by Phil Charlton. Les Hutchings was involved in a car accident on his way to the game and was replaced by Dennis Scahill at 5/8 with Alan Burwell moving to halfback he arrived in time to play in the 2nd half.

Paul Mills replaced Johnny King who was injured in a truck accident during the week.
