Manly lost Bob Fulton & Phil Lowe during the week Fulton with stomach upset & Lowe with a rib injury, Alan Thompson was called into replace Fulton & Daryl Pierce for Lowe.
Canterbury's only change was Phil Charlton in for Geoff Connell with Connell moving to the reserves.
