Match Notes
Bob Fulton & Merv Hicks were sent off for fighting with 10 mins remaining in the game.
After the game spectators were upset with the referees handling of the game and one made a rush for Don MacDonald touch judge Gordon Hedger when to his aid and punches were thrown with Hedger ending up on the ground and requiring 3 stitches to a head wound, a 20 year old man was charged with assault to appear in Manly court the next day.
