Match Notes
Referee Darcy Lawler was surrounded in controversy following this match. St George's Johnny King was claimed by Wests players to be held before getting to his feet again and scoring a crucial try. Wests' Jack Gibson even went on to claim in later years that Lawler stood to earn £600 if St. George won.
