Brian Bennett dropped out of a 14 man Parramatta team Phil Jelley moving to wing Garry Thomas in the centre.
Bryan Smith replaced Trevor McCarroll at halftime.
In the 67th min Graeme Sams left the field with a rib injury and was replaced by Inosi Toga 5 mins later Gary Pethybridge was replace with a leg injury by Bob Clapham.
