Biography

Former Newtown pivot had a season in Narrandera (1961) before coming to Balmain. DaNZey was a lower grade captain with the club (1965 reserve grade premiers) after playing five-eighth in the Tigers' grand final loss to St George in 1964. He went on to play for Cronulla during the club's first two years in the NSWRL before becoming a referee.
