Match Notes
John Spencer withdrew from the Balmain team following Friday training when he was hit heavily on his injured ribs. Alan Fitzgibbon moved to lock & Peter Jones coming in to 5/8.
Paul Taylor dropped out of the Cronulla team on Friday with a leg injury and was replaced by George Fleming. Tommy Bishop was a late withdrawal due to a neck injury and Terry Hughes took his place.
George Taylforth left the field after 60 mins with a bad gash across his nose which required 25 stitches he was replaced by John Maguire.
