Match Notes
John McDonell withdrew from the Norths team on Friday with a leg injury Noel Cavanagh moved to lock and John Sullivan came into the 2nd row. Owen O'Donnell was selected to replace Grahame Moran in the NSW team for the match in Newcastle he was replaced by Kerry Collien who moved from 5/8 to centre and Leo Toohey the new 5/8.
Grahame Moran was injured in the NSW v Qld match midweek and withdrew John Moran moved to centre and Ray Steele replaced him at wing.
Ross Warner retired early in the first half with a knee injury he was replaced by Peter Mullins, John Sullivan was replaced by Warren Chatfield midway through the 2nd half.
