Match Notes

According to the SMH match report, Norths played the entire game with 12 men, however there is no mention of why. In the second half Easts scored a goal from a mark, but the player who kicked the goal is not mentioned. There is an error in the SMH match report also, which indicates Mick Frawley failed to convert his own try, then Bill King converted the next three, before missing his attempt for Horrie Miller's try which was Eastern Suburb's fifth. At this stage it suggests the scoreline was 19-0, which would have to come from five tries and only two goals. It also mentions the goal from a mark for Easts in the second half, taking their score from 24 to 26. So one of the three mentioned conversions taken by Bill King in Easts first five tries, must have been a miss.

Note: Forward packs are listed in reverse order.
