Match Notes
Newspaper reports pre-game list Bill Tijou as Easts lock post-game report in the Evening News on Sat 8/6 lists Tijou but other newspapers including The Referee list W Lyon.
No record has been found of a W Lyon of the right age living in the Eastern Suburbs at that time or any record of a W Lyon playing football so we feel W Lyon is a typo due to Tijou being written in cursive and the typesetter mistaking for Lyon which was subsequently copied.
See notes on W Lyon for more details.
Note: Forward packs are listed in reverse order.
