Match Notes

I have assumed David Lydon was the tryscorer for Widnes in this match, but it is not confirmed as there is an error in the Rothmans yearbook (for this game it mentions "Lyon" as the tryscorer). Joe Lydon (Widnes) scored 6 tries during the season and they are accounted for, but the Rothmans yearbook does not explicitly indicate the first initial so David Lydon may have scored in one of the other games we have currently credited Joe Lydon as scoring in.
