Graeme Langlands still with an injured thumb & John Wittenberg with mumps dropped out of a 16 man St.George team, Frank Ryan injured his leg at training on Thursday night & Billy Smith who was selected at centre with Brandley & Ken Maddison was moved to fullback.

Jim Cody withdrew from the Wests team on Thursday night with a bruised back Kevin Timbs moved to prop and Barry Bryant came into the 2nd row.
