Mick Veivers dropped out of the Manly team and was replaced by Norm Pounder.
The game was played in extreme heat Manly lost Bill Bradstreet after 13 mins & John Morgan after 29 mins replaced by Cameron & Tennant who had both played the full reserve grade game in the heat.
