Additional Notes

Died tragically after jumping into the sea near Reighton Gap to save his children, who had been caught in a rip. They were subsequently rescued by members of the public, but their father could not initially be located. An inquest into the incident found that Fell suffered from a heart attack after entering the water, and he was later found about 100m from shore.
