Match Notes
Parramatta lost John Moran, Denis Pittard, Denis Fitzgerald & Ron Hilditch on the morning of the game they were replaced by Gerard, McMartin, Charlton & Webb.
Parramatta replacements all wore the numbers of the player they replaced despite being listed in the program in different numbers.
Parker is listed in the program in #3 & Tim Murphy in #4 but video shows them in the numbers here.
Ron Giteau replaced John Dorahy & Geoff Smith replaced Chris Wellman during the game.
The referee Greg Hartley came in for criticism when he awarded Wests a penalty just before halftime despite Wests centre Tim Murphy scoring a try.
