Match Notes
John Oakley withdrew from the Newtown team following Thursday night training due to a virus he was replaced by Brian Blowes.
Barry McTaggart still had not recovered from a leg injury and was replaced by Greg Fryer, Bob Smithies failed to backup from the City v Country game on Saturday he was replaced by Sid Williams.
Peter Provan & George Reubner did not return for the 2nd half with Michael Ross going to fullback and Williams to the wing, Ken Bowrey went into the 2nd row and Fitzgibbon to lock.
