Match Notes
This match was scheduled to be played on Saturday at 8:30pm at Redfern Oval but an industrial dispute by worker at South Sydney Council meant the venue could not be used and it was transferred to Endeavour Field on Sunday at 2pm.
Easts lost Greg Bandiera & Peter Moscatt with the flu on Thursday night and they were replaced by Ric McCarthy & Kel Brown.
Lindsay Drake replaced Graeme Sams in the 1st half due to a leg injury, at halftime Russell Cox replaced Col Rusmussen, & Barry Beath replaced Inosi Toga then 10 minutes from fulltime Ken Batty replaced Gary Pethybridge.
Arthur Beetson suffered a badly cut head in the 1st half and was replaced by Steve Bullow , at halftime Kerry Collien replaced Mick Alchin and late in the game Terry Stevens replaced John Brass.
