The continued impact of COVID-19 pandemic meant crowds weren't allowed through the gates for the opening of the League 1 season. The date for this restriction to be relaxed again was set to the 17th of May in England. It wasn't until Round 7 in June that fans were able to attend home games for the two Wales-based sides.
