Match Notes
This game was played at The Shay due to pitch maintenance being undertaken at Huddersfield's usual home ground, Alfred McAlpine Stadium. Both teams erroneously brought a white kit for the game which meant Castleford was forced to wear Halifax's blue and white jerseys for the game. The kickoff was delayed by 25 minutes as Halifax employee Hilda Hardy had to rush from her nearby home to bring the keys to the Halifax kit room.
Lastly the Castleford side did not wear their usual squad numbers for this game due to the kit mixup.
