Alan Burwell suffing a gastric complaint withdrew from the Canterbury team on Friday and was replaced by Dennis Scahill.
Alan McKean injured his back midway through the 1st half and was replaced by Jim Porter with Peter Flanders moving to fullback. In the 2nd half Bill Mullins suffered concussion and was replaced by Kevin Junee.
Dennis Manteit was sent off 5 mins before halftime for stamping on an opponent's face.
In the 2nd half Garry Dowling injured an ankle and was replaced by Les Ewing & Nev Hornery was replaced by Henry Tatana due to a broken thumb.
