Match Notes
Bob McCarthy withdrew from a 14 man Souths team with a shoulder injury, John O'Neill withdrew with a shoulder injury and was replaced by Dennis Lee.
Parramatta lost captain Dick Thornett due to pleurisy and was replaced by Rod Tolhurst with Dennis Fitzgerald moving to 2nd row from lock, Barry Rushworth the new captain.
Parramatta replaced Graham Lye at half time due to a swollen eye & then Keith Campbell early in the 2nd half with concussion they were replaced by Ivor Lingard & Ron Graham.
John McMartin was sent off 6 mins from fulltime for punching.
