Biography
Lanky forward, originally from Werris Creek in the Northern Division of country NSW, came to St George from Newcastle Wests in 1979. Wynn was named 'Rookie of the Year' in 1979 and played a major role in the club's grand final win over C’bury with his great attacking game. An outstanding game in the first interstate match at Lang Park in 1980 saw him tour NZ with the Australian side but he did not play in a Test. A NSW rep in the first State of Origin match played, he overcame a serious knee injury in 1981 to resume an erratic career. Following St George's grand final loss in 1985, Wynn's career seemed to lose intensity in the late 1980s. In 1988 he went to England to play for Chorley Borough but left without even playing a game. Cut by St George in 1990, Wynn proved that he still had something to offer in his two seasons with Wests before retiring at the end of 1992.

Wonderful player always produced his best in almost every game he played. I remember one game against the Bulldogs at Belmore in 1982 where he carved up the Doggies in second half. Dragons were trailing 17-2 at one stage and ended up coming back losing 17-14. Fabulous guy off the field too just like his Brother Peter. Truly a Dragons legend
