Biography
Canterbury junior (Lakemba) was graded as a winger by Newtown in 1951. Considine scored 22 tries in 1954 and formed a great wing partnership with Ray Preston. A member of the Newtown grand final teams that lost to Souths in 1954-55, he was a try-scorer in the 12-11 loss in the latter year. Considine left the club after Newtown’s players strike in 1960 and saw out the final year of his career with P’matta. At the end of the 1961 season he was transferred to Orange in his job with the CIB but returned to Newtown as a committeeman in 1968 and was later Secretary-Manager of the licensed club.

Kevin Considine remains part of the memories of my childhood following the Newtown Bluebags. Specially the magic seasons of 1954 & 55. The Newtown wingers Considine & Ray Preston scored 55 tries between them in season 1954. Will never forget the heartbreak of 1955 when I thought the Blues had it in the bag losing the game 12 to 11 to Jack Rayners Rabbitohs.

Kevin passed on the 6/6/23. He was born on the 9th of Jan 1930 and was born in Bathurst NSW.
