Biography
Cessnock forward, 1981’s NSW Country Player of the Year, was a fearless head-on tackler who had scant regard for his own safety during his Sydney career. Regan, who had been a rep for Riverina and Western Division during a varied country career, was a reserve forward in the Raiders' grand final loss against Manly in 1987. Regan later coached Hillston in the Group 17 competition.

Captain Coached the Junee Diesels in Group 9 in 1989.

I got on very well with Terry when he played here in Hull at the old Boulevard ground. He was hard as nails and saw him crawl on his hands and knees trying to tackle a player after receiving concussion at Elland Rd against Hunslet in challenge cup game.
He played his heart out vs Halifax in a challenge cup semi final with the game ending up 0-0. Hope he is well and had the privelege of meeting his wife in our local Haworth Arma when he lived in Hull

In 1987/88 a guy called terry Reagan paid his own air fare and played for hull when things were not good at the boulevard. This guy will always be remembered as an inspirational crazy player who lifted hull when they were on there way down a bit .who can forget the two challenge cup matches between hull and Halifax 0-0 then 4-3 in the replay when terry tackled anything that moved. I am in Newcastle now and just read he is a chess nock boy . Good on you terry

A huge favourite at the Raiders during their Sieffert Oval days, building towards being a premiership winning side. The definition of punching above your weight - fearless and hard hitting in defence. He even had a run with our local cricket team during the off season.

I remember when terry represented N.S.W. country vs city at bruce stadium ,canberra and took on the city forward pack like a man possessed. He had a blinder.

Me and terry have had out differences on the field, whilst playing against terry I was the opposing sides prop and while packing into the scrum we were headbuttin to two ole rams on the top of a mountain
I hurt my ankle and terry caught me off guard and splitted the top of my head, ended up getting 15 stitches

Also Captain/Coached Junee Diesels at Group 9 in 1989 then moved onto Cobar Roosters in Group 11 for 1990 and 1991 before moving onto Rankins Springs

I am not definite but would bet money that Terry was not from Cessnock originally. I believe he came to Cessnock from one of the Group 10 Bathurst clubs possibly Railway.

Who could forget the clash between Griffith Black and Whites and Griffith Waratahs. Terry played for B&W’s and the State of Origin prop Len Bertoldo. Terry who went into the game with a bad cartilage in one knee( stepped both to confuse the opposing team) took the ball on the fly( he was very fast for a forward and when in Sydney also played in the wing) lining up Bertoldo who tackled him... the impact was huge when they hit and both recoiled onto their backs on the group and the crowd was stunned. Terry got carried off on a stretcher having totally stuffed his knee.
