Biography
Riverstone junior had an inspirational season during the Panthers’ premiership-winning year in 2003. Tall and robust, Clinton proved fearless charging into opposing packs and regularly led by example as Penrith charged into the grand final. Selected on the 2003 Kangaroo Tour, he could not force his way into Australia’s Test team against Great Britain. His good early-season form in 2004 saw him make his Test debut in the front row for the ANZac Test against NZ in Newcastle. However, Clinton was overlooked for State of Origin duty and as the Panthers struggled to defend their premiership title, his form fell away and he missed Kangaroo selection for the Tri Nations competition.
