well done james, i went to school and played footy with
your dad back in the 70's and im so sorry he didnt get
to see you reach this stage of your career. No doubt he
knew you had the ability to do so.

I met James and his Lovely wife this afternoon when they bought some wooden toys from my stall (TEDDYS WOODEN TOYS) at Eumundi Markets.
I felt bad because I am good with faces but not names. I asked if he was the NRL football player and he said he was. I told him I was a supporter of AFL, but like the Roosters and he was my favorite player in the NRL. (felt stupid) I also said I did not remember his name (which he did not tell me), but I knew who he was and who he played for.
Many stall holders were so surprised and excited to see him. Even though he is from NSW, he is a great man and a nice person. I see many celebraties at the markets, but James...you made my day. THANK YOU. (Go the ROOSTERS) a new supporter from now on. Eddie Byng :)

Born into a die hard Sydney Roosters family and have been proud to call Maloney a part of the team since the minute he joined. His goal kicking is unparalleled and he is one of the best players in the competition hands down. So disappointed to be losing you next season.

Huge impact in each team he has played for. Probably a little bit underrated thus far in his career. Good team man.

Maloney is a really strong 5/8th. A win percentage of over 62%, two premierships and taking a historically woeful Warriors to the Grand Final in his second full season in first grade. The guy moves clubs and the new club is instantly stronger for it, would love to have him in my team.

Man this guy had a great footy career. Definitely unrated and Definitely a player i reckon many clubs should look into being a mentor for young or experienced halves.
I remember the 2nd time he was in origin, as a Queenslander, there was a interview he did that worried me. He said things along the lines of going for it his was cause win or lose it will be on him. What a attitude i thought to turn that pressure into a superpower.
Im a roosters fan and would love to see him come back and mentor Sammy Walker. If ya out there Jimmy, enjoy ya post footy career, even though its now time for your wife and kids to shine and take the spotlight, i hope you arent fully lost to the game. Thanks for them memories. Tough, smart, skillful and a pain in the arse when you werent on my team.
