Biography

C’bury forward played in 70 grade games between 1946 and 1951, was later Federal Sports Minister in the Whitlam Government during the early 1970s. Stewart was a member of the National Advisory Council of Sport that helped set up the Department of Sport and has a stand dedicated in his honour at Belmore Sports Ground.
