John O'Neill pulled out of the Manly team on Thursday with a knee injury and was replaced by John Barber, Mal Reilly & Bill Clare were late withdrawals due to flu and knee injuries they were replaced by Rob Cameron & Derek Moritz.

Newtown lost Kevin Fidock in the 1st half he was replaced by Ron Fogerty in the centre & Ken Wilson moving to 5/8.
