Match Notes
Dennis Pittard had sat out the season to this point as he no longer wanted to play with Wests. Wests had refused to put him on the transfer list then when he threatened court action he was put on the list with a fee of $8,000 which he contested but failed. Souths then decided to sign him and pay the $8,000 on a 6 year contract.
