Match Notes

After this match was played there was a protest, largely from joint Bulimba Cup leaders Ipswich, over the inclusion of Vic Hey into the Toowoomba side. Toowoomba eventually forfeited the Cup points they gained from winning this game so as to ensure they would still get to play Ipswich at Toowoomba the following week - a game which would draw a big crowd. Toowoomba's decision handed the Bulimba Cup to Ipswich.
