Biography
Local centre played in Easts' final win over C’bury in 1940 but it was his phenomenal performance in the 1945 final that he is best remembered. Playing lock, Dick Dunn scored 19 of his side's 22 points (3t, 5g) in a brilliant effort to defeat defending premiers Balmain. Dunn was also coach of Easts in 1960 (grand finalists) and 1962-63. He was later a vice-president of the NSWRL, a chairman of the judiciary and co-manager of Australia's tour of NZ in 1971. A Life Member of the ARL, Dunn was awarded the OAM in 1986. He passed away in 2006.

Great coach, and one of nature’s gentleman,
I remember when I got set off when I was a has been playing in second division- had to front in town, as I walked in Baldy said what are you doing here, I told him, in those days he as on that tribunal, I got a warning.
