Biography
Hospitalised following a game on St George's post-season tour of NZ in 1933 greater recognition came to Percy Fairall in the ‘Shaky Isles’ two years later. In 1935 he captained St George and represented City and NSW before making his Test debut on the Australian tour of NZ. The St George hooker and an occasional lock was selected for the First Test against Great Britain in 1936 before touring with the 1937-38 Kangaroos (14 games, no Tests). On his return Fairall shifted to Souths where he took his place in the clubs' 1939 grand final team that lost to Balmain.
