Biography

Talented winger played in 12 matches for NSW during 1939-41 but the advent of World War II curtailed his Test hopes. Denton went to Young in 1941-42 and also represented Country during those years. His length of the field try in the City-Country match in 1942 is rated one of the best ever at the SCG. Denton returned to Sydney to play for Balmain in 1943.
