Biography

Former Tumut player represented NSW in 1930-31 before moving to St George. Griffin's 36pts (2t, 15g) in the 91-6 thrashing of C’bury in 1935 is still a club record for an individual player while his 15 goals is the record for a NSWRL premiership match (held jointly with Easts' Dave Brown).

    Les is my great uncle on my Mum's side, and Ray Johnston (similar era and also with a Rugby League project page) is a great Uncle on my Dad's side...
